Three years in the making! Scott Neilson and I are incredibly excited to share that our article, Same Food as Self Care: A Community Perspective on Autistic People’s Relationships with Same Foods, has been published in the academic journal, NeuroConverse.
This work has grown out of workshops and webinars over the past few years, shaped by the experiences and insights of the people who have generously shared their stories with us. Thank you to everyone who has participated along the way. Your contributions have been invaluable, and we’re so excited to see these community perspectives making their way into academic literature.
We hope this publication will help broaden understanding of same food and encourage more compassionate, affirming approaches to food and eating.
The article is open access, so it’s freely available to read and share. I’ve included the link below, and I’d love for you to take a look!
