In this webinar, we’ll explore the findings of our recently published journal article, Same Food as Self Care: A Community Perspective on Autistic People’s Relationships with Same Food. We’ll share why we undertook this work, the methods we used, and the key themes that emerged through our interactions with the Autistic community.

What can we learn when we look at Autistic people’s relationships with same foods through a lens of self-care?
In this webinar, we’ll explore the findings of our recently published journal article, Same Food as Self Care: A Community Perspective on Autistic People’s Relationships with Same Food. We’ll share why we undertook this work, the methods we used, and the key themes that emerged through our interactions with the Autistic community.
Together, we’ll consider what these findings tell us about the meaning and value of same foods in Autistic people’s lives, and how this perspective might shape the way we think about food and support. We’ll explore reflections for Autistic community members, parents and carers, and health and social care professionals, with ideas for incorporating these insights into person-centred care that respects individual needs, preferences and experiences.
We’ve created this recorded webinar to make the research and its implications more accessible.
