When Eating is Hard: ARFID & the PDA Community
An online webinar, via the PDA Space
Friday June 19th, 1 pm – 3 pm BST/London time zone
Webinar Synopsis
This webinar is for anyone supporting a PDAer where food and eating feel hard. It explores ARFID through a PDA-informed lens, recognising how food, demand, anxiety, sensory experiences, medical conditions and the nervous system are often closely linked. Rather than viewing ARFID as a single issue, the session looks at the many layers that shape eating and food relationships, including autonomy and lived experience. You’ll be supported to reflect on how demands show up around food, and how eating might still be hard even when those demands have been dropped. The session also offers practical ways to gather information to guide support. Attendees will receive templates, linked resources for further learning, and have the chance to ask questions during a live Q&A.
